Dean’s Awards 2025
The dean presented awards to the best students of the Faculty of Science MU. Among the best doctoral students was Jakub Máčala from the Department of Biochemistry. Congratulations to all awardees!
We briefly look back at the first year of the institute's doctoral conference in 2023. All doctoral students of the Institute of Biochemistry presented the topics and results of their dissertations, either in the form of posters or lectures.
Students presented their scientific works in front of a professional audience of their colleagues and teachers, who actively participated in the discussions. PhD students did poster evaluations themselves. Students from the first to third year presented their works as posters, and students from the fourth and higher years presented their results as a lecture.
Thematically, the students were divided into four sections: Analytical Biochemistry, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biochemistry and Medical Biotechnology. Each section was managed by invited experts from outside the MU Faculty of Science, RNDr. Pavel Kubáň, Ph.D., DSc. (Institute of Analytical Chemistry, CAS), doc. RNDr. Eva Bártová, Ph.D (Institute of Biophysics, CAS), prof. Mgr. Marek Petřivalský, Dr. (Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, UPOL) and doc. PharmDr. Jan Juřica, Ph.D. (Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, MUNI).
We congratulate the winners and look forward to the next year of the doctoral conference at the Department of Biochemistry.
