Petr Malý was awarded at MendelNet 2025 conference

On 5 November 2025, the 32nd edition of the MendelNet conference took place at Mendel University, bringing together students and their mentors from across disciplines. A total of 84 contributions were presented across eight sections. In the Animal Production section, the top-performing presentation was delivered by PhD student Petr Malý, who presented his study on the effect of sorghum silage on the fatty acid profile in dairy nutrition.

On November 5, 2025, the 32nd annual international scientific conference MendelNet 2025 took place at Mendel University in Brno. The event traditionally serves as a platform for students and their mentors from various fields to meet, and its main goal is to present current research topics, share knowledge, and exchange experiences across disciplines. This year, the conference was divided into eight professional sections, in which a total of 84 contributions were made.

Among them was the contribution “The effect of sorghum silage in dairy diets on dietary and milk fatty acid profile and milk lipid quality indicators”, which was presented in the “Animal Production” section by the doctoral student in biochemistry Mgr. Petr Malý under the supervision of prof. Tomáš Kašparovský from the Laboratory of Secondary Metabolites at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University. The conference had competitive nature, and Petr’s presentation was evaluated by the expert committee as the best in his section.
